Best Storage Expansion Option for My Pi NAS Project?

  • I'm new to the Geekworm ecosystem and just starting a Raspberry Pi-based NAS project. I've seen a few options like the X825, X829, and X862 boards, but I'm having a tough time deciding which one would suit my needs best.geometry dash

My plan is to use a Pi 4 with OpenMediaVault and at least 2TB of storage. I’d prefer SSDs for speed and noise reasons, but I’m open to 3.5” drives too if the performance difference isn’t huge.

A few questions I’d love your input on:

    • Which board do you personally use and why?

    • Any tips on heat management and powering everything reliably?

    • Is it worth using the UPS HATs for a setup like this?

Appreciate any advice or build pics you’re willing to share. Thanks in advance and excited to be here!
