X728 with the X715

  • The wiki page for the X728 states:

Added power input connector, which can be used with X715 to achieve 6~60V wide voltage input.

So I bought a X728 and a X715.  When I go them the sheet included with the X728 states:

X718 cannot be used with other power expansion boards like X735, X715 etc.

Which one is true?  If I can use them together, what do I need to get them to work?  A female to female XH2.54 connector/wire?

I really want to power my Raspberry Pi and the X728 with 12v, so I can always get a 12v to 5v buck convertor, but I liked the idea of using the X715.

  • I guess the documentation included with the device is out of date.

Found this on the wiki page for the 715:

Hi,You can use X728 UPS board + X715 ; X728 UPS board added power input connector, which can be used with X715 to achieve 6~60V wide voltage input.

    Hi,
Yes, the X728 can use with X715 together.
But please do not stack them via GPIO, in case any wrong operation to damage the boards. You can use the XH2.54 2pin cable to connect them, X715 can provide additional power to X728, but power management can only be done by X728.
