Raspi 4b/8 with Raspbian
Gemini 2.5 with 2x Seagate Barracuda 5TB R1
Intenso 2TB SSD for Naspi Backup
Have started with the OS on a winkom 16GB usb key (SLC cells), all went nice for several weeks. Than i plugged the Intenso as third device on a the last usb-3 connector. Soon as a backup runs, the usb-storage driver in raspbian crashed away and all usb is out of order.
Research: This is an old known and seems unfixed bug with the raspi, to much fast drives on the usb results to this crash.
My next try is having the OS on a kingston A1 pSLC card, so the Intenso can sit on a usb-2 connector. Test runs look okay. The Gemini is a pretty small and silent device that saves lot of energy and noise. Running openmediavault7 as frontend on it.
I would like to hear from other users, what's your solution for the OS?
