Geekworm TC358743XBG HDMI-CSI-2 - bad EDID?

  • Hello,

I'm attempting to set up a Geekworm TC358743XBG HDMI-CSI-2 with PiKVM. Currently, I’m getting a "no signal" message when trying to connect. Upon checking the logs on my Ubuntu server, I found an "EDID is invalid" error.

I've seen examples in the PiKVM documentation for EDID settings for other devices, but they all seem to be configured for 60fps, while I need 1080p at 25fps. Does anyone have a valid EDID file for the Geekworm device, or any advice on this issue?

I've seen examples in the PiKVM documentation for EDID settings for other Crazy Cattle 3D devices, but they all seem to be configured for 60fps, while I need 1080p at 25fps. Does anyone have a valid EDID file for the Geekworm device, or any advice on this issue?

This issue with the Geekworm TC358743XBG and PiKVM is likely due to an invalid or incompatible EDID, especially since most defaults assume 1080p at 60fps. You can fix this by generating or applying a custom EDID that supports 1080p at 25fps using tools like edid-generator or by manually setting it with v4l2-ctl.
