I purchased the dual sata drive kit with the X708 power backup board. The Wiki says you must use only Li-ion batteries with a built-in protective circuit that may be no longer than 65.3 mm. The problem is, I haven’t found any 18650 Li-ion cells with a protective circuit built-in that are no longer than 65.3 mm. The Li-ion cells with a protective circuit that I have found are between 68-70 mm long; so they don’t fit in the battery box provided. Why not provide a battery box for the longer cells with the protective circuit or build a protective circuit into the X708 board or battery box?

@Alan DiGiovanni Hello sir,
You can also use the battery without built-in protective circuit.

@Alan DiGiovanni Hi Alan, I just got the same setup and went with a 3.7v 4000mah li-po. It is about 2" square and I have it attached to the u100 tray with velcro instead of screwing in the battery box.
