Don't recognize / boot from NVME SSD for X1001/X1002/X1000/X1003?

  • I have to give up, but I assume it's partly due to that I use a Crusial P3 disk that do have a Phison controller.

For me, the hat (x1001) seem to be very sensitive for RF interferance. I got it more or less working without any Disk I/O errors by putting ALU Foil on the ribbon cable and removing the Pi from my GeekPI ALU case. Without the ALU foil or placing the pi in the ALU case, IO errors started all over the place, ending in a crash.

Thread on HASOS github on the issue:

I had to revert back to SDCARD...

  • It sounds like you're encountering a frustrating issue with the X1001 and NVME SSD booting. Have you checked if the BIOS settings recognize the SSD? Sometimes the boot order needs tweaking. Also, while troubleshooting, consider taking a break with a game like Snow Rider 3D to clear your mind! Gamifying your break can help you return to the problem with fresh eyes. Good luck!
