UPS for Raspi 5 that doesen't use/require GPIO pins

  • Was wondering if there is a portable power solution for the Raspberry pi 5 that doesen't interfere with gpio signal.
I would like to use a screen like the pimoroni hyperpixel touch which uses all the gpio pins for it's interface. I have a x1209 but it uses gpio 6 and gpio 16 which means they probably wouldn't work togheter. Any solutions or workarounds?

  • You should check if the Pimoroni Hyperpixel Touch is actually using GPIO 6 and GPIO 16.

  • @Harry Huang, the pins are marked as used

  • Exploring non-GPIO UPS options for Raspberry Pi 5 on the Geekworm forum is super helpful for custom builds! Keeping HAT expansion slots free, managing stable power delivery, and configuring hardware are definitely not Easy Games, but community discussions like this make finding the ideal power setup so much simpler!
