X301 SATA NAS Storage Expansion Board - UASP issue

  • Hi,

I have https://geekworm.com/products/x301 attached to a RPI Zero 2W, with latest Raspbery PI OS. On the product page it says:

    • Supports USB Attached SCSI Protocol (UASP)

however when I look at the system it shows as USB mass storage (BOT), not UASP:

    root@raspberrypi:~# lsusb -t
    /: Bus 001.Port 001: Dev 001, Class=root_hub, Driver=dwc_otg/1p, 480M
        |__ Port 001: Dev 002, If 0, Class=Hub, Driver=hub/4p, 480M
            |__ Port 001: Dev 003, If 0, Class=Mass Storage, Driver=usb-storage, 480M
            |__ Port 002: Dev 004, If 0, Class=Human Interface Device, Driver=usbhid, 1.5M
            |__ Port 003: Dev 005, If 0, Class=Vendor Specific Class, Driver=asix, 480M

Where it says Driver=usb-storage it should have said Driver=uas

Any idea how to make it recognize as UASP instead of BOT?

    Thanks!

  • The PI ZERO 2W only supports USB 2.0, so it does not support the UASP protocol. However, the X301 hardware itself supports UASP. Please understand.
