  Can I use the Sata power connector as a 12V power input for the Shield and Raspberry Pi 5?

  I understand, but maybe the 12V input power connector is directly connected to the 12V power connector for powering the drives and it doesn't matter where the power is connected.
  These two connectors are connected?
  Is there a power scheme for this shield?
