The X1509 is a purpose-built, high-performance carrier board designed exclusively for the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5 (CM5). By combining dual Ethernet ports (1GbE + 2.5GbE), 8 SATA 3.0 ports, and versatile multimedia peripherals into a compact form factor, it delivers a premium, high-capacity, high-speed storage upgrade for your CM5.

Power management is seamless. The board features dual 12V power input options: a standard DC jack or a 4-pin ATX power connector. Built-in intelligent load switches automatically power off connected SATA devices when the system shuts down, while high-efficiency step-down converters offer a stable 5V/12A output. A single power supply is all you need to effortlessly run your RPi CM5 and all 8 connected SATA drives.

Whether you are building a home media center, a personal NAS, or a high-capacity CCTV video storage server, the X1509 is the ultimate choice for securing, managing, and streaming your data locally or remotely.

The X1509 is designed for data storage purposes and does not currently support booting from HDD/SSD with the existing firmware.

  • Single Source Only: Only ONE power source should be connected at any given time (do not use the DC Jack and 4-pin ATX connector simultaneously).
  • Voltage Limit: Strict 12Vdc ± 5% input. Over-voltage Will permanently damage your connected HDDs/SSDs!
  • Automatic Drive Power Cut-off: Supported with DC jack power input only. Not available when using ATX 4-pin connector.
