Overview

The Geekworm XNAS1 is an industrial-style 4-bay Network Attached Storage (NAS) solution engineered exclusively for the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5 (CM5). It converts your CM5 into a high-capacity, self-hosted storage system using four 3.5-inch SATA hard drives, capable of supporting up to 88TB of total storage (up to 22TB per drive).

Equipped with dual Ethernet ports (1GbE + 2.5GbE) and an integrated PCIe Gen3x1 to 4× SATA 6Gb/s bridge, the XNAS1 provides fast local networking and storage connectivity. Built with a stainless steel hard drive cage, vibration-dampening mounts, and a 120mm PWM cooling fan, it ensures active cooling and physical drive stability for 24/7 continuous operation.

It is fully compatible with openmediavault (OMV) and other Linux-based NAS operating systems, making it the ideal choice for local media hosting, private cloud backups, and high-speed file sharing.

Notice: The XNAS1 is designed for data storage purposes and does not currently support booting the OS directly from SATA HDDs/SSDs under the existing firmware. The system must boot via MicroSD card (CM5 Lite) or onboard eMMC.
