OS compatibility and RPi4 expansion boards

  • Hello,

I am considering buying an X829 board with my raspberry pi4. I am currently running Fedora IoT on it. I am wondering about software compatibility issues with that board, or other like the X862V2.0.

I have not been able to find anyting in the official documentation, maybe I didn't look in the right place?

Does anyone know how geekworm's expansion boards work software wise, either with standard distros like Ubuntu and Fedora or with the official Raspbian OS? Are there information regarding that in the documentation?

    Thanks,

    Iolaum

  • Raspberry Pi OS is the preferable choice if you want an operating system that is particularly built for use with the Raspberry Pi. However, if you want an operating system that can be used on a range of hardware devices, Ubuntu Core is the superior option. duck life
