Hi
I do have an Issue with Raspberry Pi 4/X857 unsing a 2TB mSATA Disc:
- Raspberry Pi 4 Model B
- X857 Version 2.0
- 2TB mSATA
https://de.aliexpress.com/item/33058237041.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.42e54c4dJwOItI
=> the 2TB Version
I did the normal installation-process:
- Installing mSATA on X857 and conecting to PC
- Writing the Raspberry Pi OS Image on 2TB mSATA (using raspbery pi imager)
- Adding the quirks to /boot/cmdline.txt
https://geekworm.com/community/forum/topic/34733/Some%20problems%20when%20using%20SSD%20via%20USB3%20on%20Raspberry%20Pi%204 - Connecting X857 to Raspberry Pi 4 and booting
- It was booting...and startet resize process (to expand filesystem)
- ...and was rebootig
- Now, the mSATA using X857 cannot be connected to any device anymore. Both, pc (tested on linux and windows) and the raspberry pi, no longer recognize the mSATA disc using X857.
I have not yet tested if the mSATA would still work if i connect it directly to a PC without the X857 (i lack a sata to msata converter).
But basically:
Can it be that X857 does not support 2TB mSATA (specialy the used disc) or is the mSATA disc broken?
