KVM-A3 0.96" OLED Display is dead

  • Recent purchase of KVM-A3 device, set it all up with a downloaded OS.  Everything seems to be working ok, and I can view and control a PC connected to KVM-A3, the only issue us that the 0.96" OLED display is dead, never lighting up.  Any idea why this might be?

    Display is inserted correctly into connector and screwed into place.

  • Found some information and got it working:

    Set file system to read/write with
    rw
    Added this to /boot/config.txt:
    dtparam=i2c_arm=on
    Then did this:
    echo i2c-dev | sudo tee /etc/modules-load.d/i2c-dev.conf
    Then enabled kvmd-oled with this:
    systemctl enable --now kvmd-oled
    Then set file system back to read only, and rebooted:
    ro
    reboot

    OLED now working.
