Overview

The X635 is an ultra-compact carrier board specifically designed for the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4 (CM4). It integrates an M.2 NVMe SSD expansion interface and an HDMI-to-CSI-2 bridge, making it ideal for video capture, storage expansion, and embedded applications requiring HDMI video input.

The onboard TC358743 chip converts HDMI video streams into MIPI CSI-2 TX signals, allowing the CM4 to receive HDMI video input through its CSI camera interface.

Notes

• Raspberry Pi CM4 module, Micro SD card, SSD, and power supply are NOT included.
• Do NOT power the X635 through the USB Type-C port when it is connected to a PC via the USB Type-A port.
• To enable CM4 programming via rpiboot, place a jumper cap between the nBOOT and GND pins on the 6-pin header.
• Please use only the included M2x3mm SSD mounting screws. Screws longer than 3mm may damage the Micro SD card or card socket.

How to Power

• Power the X635 via the USB Type-C 5V input.
• If the USB Type-A port is connected to a PC, the PC USB port will supply power to the X635.
• Do NOT connect an additional power supply to the USB Type-C port while connected to a PC via USB Type-A.

Cooling Solution

For better thermal performance, the X635 can be used together with the C235 aluminum heatsink designed for Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4.
